Team Through My WindowLook at engineering education through a new window.

How do we choose our learning adventure topics?

Team Through My Window chooses engineering topic for learning adventures that are modern, cutting-edge engineering concepts, relevant to children and young teens and appealing to a broad spectrum of learners; best illustrate engineering as serving humanity and solving global challenges, consistent with the National Academy of Engineering's (NAE) “Grand Challenges for Engineering”; and align with required curriculum frameworks and standards such as Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Engineering Habits of Mind.  Finally, we choose topics with natural ties to Imaginative Education – that is, topics with elements of mystery, limits and extremes of reality (ethical catastrophes, bioengineering superheroes, computers as smart as brains), binary opposites, and heroes and heroines.
