Why is Through My Window important?

Through My Window provides an inclusive approach to engineering education—one that appeals to boys and girls alike.  Diversity is inherent in the project design.  The project is "delivered" via a website, so is accessible and free to all with internet access.  Importantly, the engineering concepts presented are at the “frontiers of engineering”—artificial intelligence, engineering ethics; bioengineering, etc.—and form a broad, modern range of concepts not typical in traditional STEM curriculum.  This results in broader appeal and broadened perspectives for learners.  Further, the instructional design of the learning environment represents the application of cutting-edge learning theories to interest a wide spectrum of learners.  Finally, Through My Window is an adaptable, manageable, user-friendly curriculum for educators with no background in engineering.
